Research and Professional Experience

During much of her undergraduate period she actively collaborated with her university’s Educational Technology Research Group (ETRG), and after completing her studies she began working with them as a researcher. She has been a pre-doctoral fellow with the Research Staff Training program and has participated in different research projects mainly related to the implementation of technologies in educational processes and on the study of the implications of e-learning in traditional educational institutions.

She has been a visiting researcher at the Knowledge Media Institute of the Open University in the United Kingdom; visitor at the Department of Education of the University of Oxford, working with the E-learning Group, and a visiting professor at the Centre for Education and New Technologies of the University Jaume I of Castellón, as well as in the Graduate School of Education at the University of California Berkeley.

She has also been a guest speaker at numerous national and international scientific events. Her teaching activity is related to the implementation of ICT in different educational contexts, both in the specific field of Primary Education, Education and Social Education.

She has also worked in the design, elaboration and implementation of networked didactic materials, in guidance and advice to teachers for the implementation of ICT in formal teaching processes (in Spain and Latin America) and in several studies on the state of ICT in different educational environments.

In addition, he has participated in national and international research projects and has presented and published numerous papers at national and international conferences and scientific meetings. Recently, he has shown an interest in research and analysis of the implementation and impact of ICT in various educational contexts, Social Networks, Digital Identity and, especially, Personal Learning Environments.

She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Didactics and School Organization at the University of Murcia and a member of the Educational Technology Research Group and an active -and honorable- member of the Novadors Association, EDUTEC, EATEL and the PLE Conference community.
